Our Mission
Cross Country Living is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ across the United States. As a family-led effort under the Ducks Don’t Need Pants (DDnP) brand, we have embraced a calling to bring the message of salvation, hope, and love to people from all walks of life. Our journey is one of faith, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to fulfilling God’s purpose.
Our Story
This ministry began with a significant turning point in our lives. For eight long years, I (Mouse) battled to secure my disability case—a struggle filled with setbacks, hardships, and moments of doubt. But through every challenge, my faith in Jesus Christ remained unshaken. When the case was finally resolved, my wife, Tonya, and I found ourselves at a crossroads. We faced a critical question: How would we use the blessings God had provided?
Initially, our dream was simple: to settle down on a small piece of land, build a tiny home, and lead a quiet life with a small farm. Yet, as we prayed and fasted over the course of a year, God revealed a greater plan. We felt an undeniable calling to step out in faith, purchase an RV, and dedicate our lives to traveling the country as witnesses for Christ. Obedience to His calling became our priority, and with that decision, Cross Country Living was born.
Our Approach
In every town and city we visit, we aim to create meaningful connections by asking two key questions:
- Do you know Jesus?
- How can I pray for you today?
These questions are designed to open the door to conversations—sometimes brief, sometimes profound. Not everyone is receptive, and that’s okay. When met with resistance, we simply respond, “That’s okay; I’m not one of those pushy Christians.” Even in those moments, we learn how to pray for them, trusting that God is working in their hearts.
Over the past two years, this approach has taken us from coast to coast, connecting with countless individuals. Through these encounters, we’ve shared the Gospel, offered prayers, and, most importantly, extended the love of Christ.
Our Vision
Cross Country Living is not just about traveling; it’s about building relationships and making lasting impacts. Our goal is to form friendships and cultivate a sense of family along the way. We believe that every person we meet is an opportunity to share God’s love and inspire hope.
A Ministry of Faith
Our journey has been fueled entirely by faith. Living on the road presents unique challenges but has also deepened our dependence on God. We’ve seen His provision repeatedly, whether through a kind gesture from a stranger, an unexpected opportunity to serve, or the grace to keep moving forward. These experiences remind us that this ministry is not about us—it’s about glorifying God and advancing His Kingdom.
